She thinks of herself when she starts to write. She wrote a whole series of  Mercy  Watson and Edward Tulane,The tales of Despereanx, The tiger Rising,Because of Winn-Dixie and Great Joy. She has a dog named Henry. She thinks that she is a lucky person. At age 5 she moved to Florida. Her mother was a teacher. She gave up her job and she became a wrighter. Her father stayed behind and work to sale houses And then he came up to Florida. Her real name is Katrina Elizabeth  DiCamillo but people are supposed to call her Kate for short.  She said that she is working hard to make new books. She moved to Florida because of her heath.(warmer)  with her brother and her Mom.
