Chapters 1-8

Chapter1-2
     Opal the girl in the story is going to the store and she was going and the manger was yelling whose dog is this and the he said that he was going to call the pound and then Opal said that it was her dog and the manger said what is his name and Opal had to think fast because she did not want that dog to go to the pound and then the store was called Winn-Dixie  and then she said that its name was Winn-Dixie and the manger said get that dog out of here and then she said that what is my dad going to say and then she went home and the dog was outside and then Opal said dad i found something and the dad said what is it and Opal went outside and got Winn-Dixie and then the dad said that he was nice but dirty and then Opal said that he did not have a place to stay and the dad said the he is a stray dog and opal said yes dad he is and then the dad said well you found a home

Chapter 3-4
     The next day Winn - Dixie was left alone and when he is left alone he howls and then all the dogs start to howling and then when Opal is with him then he is fine and then they have to take it with them where ever they go and then it was time to go to church and then Winn-Dixie was outside because he could not come in and he stared to howl and then they brought him in and then there was a mouse running around and then Winn-Dixie caught but did not kill it and then the dad said let us play....... for this mouse and then the people stared to clap and then the dad through it outside.


Chapter 5-6


             And then she went home and gave Winn-Dixie a bath and then she got a bath and then they went to bed and then they went to the park and then they meant somebody and then they went home and then  they went home and ate supper and then took a bath and went to bed.

Chapter7-8
      And then she went to the Library  and she found and new friend and that was Miss. Franny  and she was a good friend of Opal and then the next day Opal taught Winn-Dixie how to stand on his hind legs and then she went to the library and Winn-Dixie was in the window looking at Opal on his hind legs and then Miss. Franny saw Winn-Dixie in the window and she said that that was a bear and she sat  on the floor and then Opal said What? and then she said bear and then Opal said that  was her dog and then Opal helped Miss.Franny off the floor and then she said ok and then told a story about a time when she was little......
